20/2 2010 - ChipzIRC 1.0 RC1 progress
The release date has not been set, but it should be available in a few weeks if things go as planned.Major improvements:
- Active connections & channels are restored after restart (no need for favorites/auto-connect).
- Better Boo integration (interpreter, macros...).
- Windows 7 & Vista compatible.
+ A Lot of minor improvements.
17/1 2010 - Update
There will be a new release soon, hopefully by the end of this month. There are no major visual changes, but a lot of code has been refactored. This unfortunately means that many plugins & scripts needs to be rewritten to support the new API, but it's very much needed and will make plugin development & scripting way more pleasant.New stuff:
- Full Win7 & Vista support.
- Boo interpreter replaces the dodgy XScript commands.
- Better theme support & integration with non standard OS themes.
- DockPanel & XPTable updated to the latest version.
15/10 2009 - Website update
Updated to the latest version of WikkaWiki, some actions might be broken...I'm also messing around with a new template. It appears to be working in most browsers, Opera 10, Google Chrome, FF 3.5 and even IE6.
18/9 2009 - News update
Not much news on the coding front, there is a new release planned but I can't say when it will be done. About Windows 7 and whether ChipzIRC will work on it, I can't say as I don't have Win7 nor plan to get it any time soon. I have tested it on a release candidate and it seemed to run fine, however there are no guarantees. Same goes with Vista.Also, the primary download mirror (www3.shellkonto.se) will be removed soon and replaced with chipzirc.net. The Autoupdater should still work fine though.
6/4 2009 - Project update
Not much going on, will try to sort out the documentation on this wiki so it's up to date soon.I've also tried to get ChipzIRC run with Mono on non-windows platforms. It currently crashes right after all DockPanels are created (since the DockPanel uses quite a bit of Win32 calls).
Oh, and please feel free to mail me any error/exception logs, or use this pastebin.
5/3 2009 - New release
ChipzIRC v0.100.0.0 is now available, lots of bugs fixed and some new added.Major changes:
- Updated the DockPanel so the x64 bug should now be gone (binaries are now in "Any CPU" format again).
- UserList moved to it's own panel, like the ServerList.
- UserList sorting is a lot faster now, but possibly not as solid, please report if nicknames don't appear in the right order.
